Beneficial Music
By
Lynn Serper |
There
are many different genres of music to fit each preference
for each person. Music adds life to a home and enriches each
room. Not only does music enhance a room, but music enriches
the heart, the brain and the body. You don’t have to be a
music teacher or a musician to enjoy music or to feel the
tranquility of the song. In many ways, listening depends on
a mood of the moment and it’s a pleasure to indulge an
auditory summons: classical for concentration, show tunes
for singing, soft rock for exercise. Music has a fascinating
effect on people, activity and environment.
The positive benefits of music were accessible even before
the radio was invented. While Thomas Jefferson was writing
the Declaration of Independence, he played the violin to
help him with his writers block. With the help of the
melodies, the words and phrases just flowed. Albert Einstein
presented another instance where music changed his life. His
parents bought him a violin when he did poorly in school and
he later claimed that his violin made him smart. His playing
the music of Mozart and Bach helped him to figure out life’s
problems and scientific equations. You don’t need to go out
and learn to play the violin, but you can certainly reap the
benefits of listening to music.
There are currently many positive benefits to music.
Research has found that music helps with memory. The melody
makes it easier for a person to memorize and remember facts.
Music also helps with intelligence and IQ tests because
research shows that listening to Mozart improves the mind.
Music is also used in many marketing techniques, such as
commercials. Music helps the consumer focus on the product
and enhance their understanding of the merchandise.
Thanks to radios, television, music players, and computers,
every person has access to songs and music. Fortunately,
music has provided and still provides many benefits to many
different people. We can take Jefferson’s and Einstein’s
lead, and use music to help us with future projects that one
day may make a difference. |
