Behind-The-Scenes

I’m in the Grand Regency Ballroom at
Lombardo’s in Randolph with over 300 people dressed in their
best duds.
You’d think it was a New Year’s Eve celebration, everywhere
you look you can see sparkles, glamour, furs, gowns, tuxes,
black suits, semi-formals, and everyone, 55 plus in age, is
looking very much Italian. Can you believe this?
We are part of the 300 non-paid extras for the background
scenes. What a great opportunity to see the technical and
behind the camera preparations, before they even begin
shooting.
The scene is a banquet, the guests have finished the main
course and are ready to hear the speaker at the podium.
Several takes, long and close up are repeated, all for the
low-budget, dark comedy feature film “STIFFS” staring Danny
Aiello. Written by local residents Frank and Joe Ciota, the
film is being produced by Sandy Missakian.
Jodi Purdy’s Casting Connection of Weymouth (781- 331-2700),
a 35-year veteran of stage and film is responsible for us
being involved in this production. Jodi is a very hard
working gal and she can book you to be a star.
You never know, it can happen to you! |
