A Year Of Challenges
By
Reno Litterio

Quincy
- A brand new year begins with many new resolutions, that you have no intention of keeping, running through your mind again.

Stop right there and say to yourself, loud and clear, “not this year.” The year of 2012 is not for the faint of heart, not for the person that likes to be coddled, or a person who rather likes to curl up in bed and never get up. The key to 2012 is to face it head on.

Times like these call for your best thinking. You should be able to question and challenge every action you become involved with. When receiving change from a transaction, make sure you look at your receipt and count the change.

When you make a deposit or withdrawal, at your bank or ATM, look at what you have received and the balance of your account. You can’t take anything for granted.

Have you fallen into the habit of using the same products in your daily routine? Then it’s about time you switch to some new brands. New products are being developed with new ingredients making them more affective.

Change your favorite brand of toothpaste, orange juice, coffee, tea, doughnuts, and question yourself, is this really good for me? You won’t know unless you try them.

More than ever, each year there are victims who get ripped-off by scammers, with new schemes, to take your money. You can avoid this by challenging every deal.

“This is your lucky day; I have a few extra televisions in my truck, which I can give you at a reduced price.” Sounds familiar? You should leave at once, wiser and happy.

When was the last time that you went for a sled ride and rolled in the snow with friends?

Make snow balls and hit that person, who crossed you to get even, for something that you have never forgotten. This year you’re going to challenge yourself. You always admired the talents of others, why not take those singing or dancing lessons, writing a short story, photography, or go ice fishing. Nothing is more invigorating than flying a kite; it will lift your spirits on high.
